Bông thủy tinh là loại bông cách nhiệt nhẹ có khả năng cách nhiệt đến 350oC. Bông thủy tinh được sản xuất dướI 2 dạng. Dạng tấm có tỷ trọng 12-56kg/m3, dày 25-150kg/m3, được dùng cách nhiệt trần, tường của nhà xưởng, nhà cao ốc, hệ thống lạnh…Dạng ống có tỷ trọng 56-96kg/m3, dày 25-75mm theo đủ kích cỡ đường ống, được dùng để cách nhiệt đường ống lạnh, nóng trong công nghiệp.
